Solving Problems & Troubleshooting:

The Creative Cow Forums are the best place I know of to find answers to FCP questions. There are actually 3 different forums dedicated to Final Cut Pro:

You can register and post to the forums or you can use their search tool to see if your issue has been covered before. The forums are hosted by noted FCP gurus and the signal to noise ratio is very favorable. This is where I usually go when I’m stumped and I often find my answer there.

The Apple Discussion Forum for FCP is usually my second resort as it can be hard to search effectively and the signal to noise ratio is a bit higher, but this is the official support site and with a bit of work, it often yields the answer you need.

Staying Abreast of the Final Cut Pro Universe:

FCP Daily is a blog that posts a wide variety of FCP hints, product reviews, tutorials and news items. It’s concise, readable and posts fresh content every day, so you can make it a part of your daily professional reading list. They also have a convenient Twitter Feed if you’re into that.

Kevin Monahan’s FCPWorld is a great resource for tips and news. He also does a lot of coverage of FCP keyboard shortcuts. Kevin was the co-founder of the very first FCP user group, San Francisco’s SF Cutters and is the first FCP guru I ever met. You can also follow Kevin’s twitter feed for daily FCP tips and news.
